availability the norm
in today’s social network
got to have a myspace
and update it daily
facebook friends
comment on my
slightest movement
twitter knows what i’m doing
sometimes before i do
friends call me on my cell
or text me
if they want to talk
without talking
an email address for work and home
and yet another for the blog
the poetry blog
the workout blog
the just having fun blog
with comments “on”
cause one for all
would reveal too many sides
of an old and worn coin
and of the 15 or 30 or so
ways to reach me
the one communication
that i want
never seems
to come through
