Fantastic poem! I love the rhythm in the lines (and, of course, I love what it says). The flow is wonderful. I love these lines:

“I cannot beat it
Cannot cut it off
Or starve it out”.

Yes. Do no harm. That is awesome.

Beautiful and poignant. I love the last stanza. I’ve often cursed the opening of that box, too.
